A Manhattan family starts fresh amid the mountains north of New York City's skyline. In a tiny village where women first voted they begin to restore an historic church, unaware a local clan of drug traffickers will soon cross their path. When road-rage pits one house against the other a murder plot unfolds, ending in a midnight sneak attack by a knife-wielding supremacist. But when Police can't or won't track down the stabber his targets do and, in the process, expose long-held secrets behind a popular woman's cold-case murder.
